BEFORE YOU REGISTER: Review the logistics information on the CBC web site. Ensure that you have a valid USBA annual or one-day membership before registering. If you plan to use a .22 rifle in the event, you will also need proof of USBA Rifle Safety Certification (e.g. a "Red Book" number).

EVENT DETAILS:
The Individual format, biathlon's original format and longest race distances.  Five ski laps, four shooting bouts (PSPS shooting sequence), with a time penalty for each miss. (No penalty loops!)
U13 competitors: Individual format: four ski laps with three shooting bouts.
All prone shooting for U15 and U13 competitors.


Standard race distances:
Men: 20km (60 sec penalty)
Women, Masters Men 30-69, Junior Men 19-21: 15km (60 sec penalty)
Junior Women 19-21: 12.5km (60 sec penalty)
Youth Men 15-18: 12.5km (45 sec penalty)
Masters Women, Masters Men 70+, Youth Women 15-18: 10km (45 sec penalty)
U17 novice Boys/Girls: 7.5km (30 sec penalty)
U15 Boys/Girls: 5km (30 sec penalty)
U13 Boys/Girls: 4km (three shooting bouts, 20 sec penalty)

Race day schedule:

• 0900 - 0930: Bib pickup at the range. NO BIB PICKUP AFTER 0930
• 0930 - 0955: Zero for Wave 1 competitors
• 1005 - 1030: Zero for Wave 2 competitors
• 1035: Pre-race meeting
• 1050: First wave start
• 1200 (approximately; later for longer formats): Second wave start. Actual start time will be after all wave 1 competitors clear the range.
